Atlanta Jazz Festival
The Atlanta Jazz Festival (AJF) welcomes thousands of residents and visitors to Piedmont Park for 3 days of free jazz during Memorial Day Weekend, each year.
The AJF season begins in March and includes events all over the city that support musicians of all ages and promotes community engagement in the art and culture of jazz music.
2014 ATLANTA JAZZ FESTIVAL SEASON
The Youth Jazz Band Competition allows Atlanta area middle and high school jazz bands to compete for an opportunity to perform during the festival and raise funds (donated by sponsors) for their school’s jazz program.
The Atlanta Jazz Festival partners with venues all over the city to promote jazz events every single day of May leading up to the annual festival Memorial Day weekend in Piedmont Park. From MARTA stations, museums, jazz clubs, and restaurants the 31 Days of Jazz series provides a little something for everyone.
The Neighborhood Jazz Series takes place at various City of Atlanta parks every Saturday and Sunday throughout the month of May leading up to the annual Atlanta Jazz Festival. Each concert is hosted by a different City of Atlanta Councilmember and is family friendly and FREE to the public. Click Here for a full calendar of Neighborhood concert events.
