ARTSCooL COLLEGIATE

ARTSCooL COLLEGIATE is an initiative of the City of Atlanta Office of Cultural Affairs designed to provide teens with strong artistic ability and passion for the arts the opportunity to work under the guidance of a local professional artist.  ARTSCooL COLLEGIATE is an expansion of the ARTSCooL Summer Arts Employment Program model where young people ages 15 -18 receive technical arts instruction in small groups of six (6) students per group to ensure individualized instruction in the areas of Mixed Media, Photography, Film, Drawing, Painting, Dance, and Musical Theatre. In addition each student receives a stipend for their commitment to the eight week program.  ARTSCooL COLLEGIATE participants are identified based on the strength of their application, interview, and work samples.

The ARTSCooL COLLEGIATE program also incorporates outings to local cultural venues/events, resume’ and portfolio development, as well as a closing exhibition showcasing works created during the summer session.  ARTSCooL COLLEGIATE will make the summer a real exercise in creative development and freedom!
