reduction kiln, low fire oxidation, raku kiln and Sagger. Unique surface decorations are available including terra sigillata, underglazes, stains,
engobes, and other low fire commercial glazes.

PLEASE NOTE- All pottery and handbuilding students:

• will be issued one bag of clay the first day of class. If clay is not claimed during the current semester, it cannot be claimed
during a later semester.
• are responsible for purchasing tools for ceramics.
• only clay purchased through the center and glazes provided by the Center will be fired.
• A $15 materials fee is included in the class fee for consumable supplies provided by the Center.

Students will examine an array of wheel-thrown pottery techniques. The focus is on basic throwing skills as well as glazing, decorating, and firing.
