The Imaginary Million :: WonderRoot, MOCAGA and Kennesaw State University

Through a collaboration between three diverse arts organizations including MOCAga, WonderRoot and Kennesaw State University, a project titled The Imaginary Million will open to the public on October 22, 2012. For IM, 100 artworks have been selected to be exhibited within downtown at the historic 200 Peachtree building (formerly known as Macy’s) during October 22 - 24.

During this exhibition the organizations are offering a series of programmatic learning opportunities including a collecting seminar, artist talks and gallery tours. Monday, October 22 at 7pm participating IM artists will offer a free tour open to the public. Be the first to view this stunning artwork in a dynamic setting.

On October 24^th, from 7-11pm The Imaginary Million will celebrate all of the artworks on view by hosting a large scale FREE gala event - OPEN TO THE PUBLIC.

All 100 artists behind the artwork on view will be given $10,000 in “false currency” to bid on artwork they wish to take home. This is an art for artist auction and speaks to fostering a strong arts economy by empowering artists as stakeholders.
