NOTE: A materials fee is included in most children’s class fees. Art can be messy, children should wear old clothes to class. Classes meet for 7 weeks, unless otherwise noted.

DOODLES/ Amanda McGee
(Ages 2-4)
This parent-child class allows young artists and their grown-up friends the opportunity to explore, create, and make a mess! Projects include hot-air balloons, piggy banks, car painting, printmaking, clay projects, and much more.

Add some extra art to the week! Students will explore a variety of art techniques, including printmaking, sculpture, painting, and collage. Come have fun making art and friends!

STORY TIME STUDIO/ Amanda Mcgee

Spend the morning listening, dreaming and creating. Students will paint, draw, sculpt, print, and collage artwork inspired by classic short stories read in class.

ART AROUND THE WORLD/ Amanda McGee
(Ages 6-10)
Draw, paint, construct, collage and more in this fascinating art class featuring a global perspective. Each week, class will focus on a different culture and its art work. Projects may include Indonesian batik, Chilean rainsticks, Mexican Day-Of-The-Dead boxes, and much more!

SCULPTURE STUDIO/ Amanda McGee
(Ages 6-10)
Wire, clay, paper mache! Create artwork in 3 dimensions. Pinch pots, puppets, Rodins, robots, functional and found-object art are just a few of the fabulous projects we'll explore in this class. Please bring a smock or wear old clothes.

KIDS' MULTIMEDIA ART/ Amanda McGee
(Ages 6-10)
An afternoon class that covers it all! From painting to printmaking, collage to clay, we'll experiment with different art methods and learn a little about the artists that use them.

ART & ACTION/ Amanda McGee & Lucy Curtis
(Ages 6-12)
This class uses art, yoga, and games to help the active student shake out the sillys, express creativity, and develop focus. Artwork may include paper-mache, action painting, various clay projects and much more. Please wear old clothes you can move around in!

PRE-TEEN POTTERY ON THE WHEEL/ Nita Shrivastava
(Ages 9-12)
This series of classes will explore basic wheel techniques for young students. Tuition includes one bag of clay and firing fees.

KIDS' PAINTING FOR ALL SKILL LEVELS/ Sarah Daly
(Ages 9-13)
If your kids love drawing, painting and creating, then this class is for them! Students will explore a variety of mediums, including pencil, charcoal, paint and paper and learn how other artists have used them to make the masterpieces we all know today!

KIDS' KNITTING CLASS/ Teresa Fox
(Ages 9-14)
Pick up sticks and cat's cradle have nothing on this! Learn to knit in a kids' class. You will be given a ball of yarn and knitting needles and all the skills you need to make a square, a scarf, and more! Start your knitting adventure here! A supply fee of $12, payable to the instructor, is due at the first class.

In this class for pre-teens and teens, students will learn handbuilding techniques and create functional and sculptural work. All levels of experience welcome.

MIXED MEDIA JEWELRY/ Jaynie Crimmins
(Ages 12-16)
Using traditional and non-traditional jewelry materials in this 6-week class, students will learn about the principles of art and design, basic metalsmithing techniques, and how to use tools safely. A $10 materials fee, payable to the instructor, is due at the first class. No previous experience is necessary.

PORTFOLIO PREPARATION FOR TEENS/ Sarah Daly
(Ages 14-18)
If you are interested in creating a strong portfolio for college, or are looking for someone to help guide you into an advanced level of artmaking, look no further. Learn how to integrate your strengths and passions in painting, drawing and visual problem solving into a cohesive body of artwork. Students will be challenged and encouraged to explore different mediums to develop their artistic voice during the creative process.

YOUTH WORKSHOP

COLLAGE, CARDS, AND CLOTHES: A PRINTMAKING ADVENTURE/ Amanda McGee
(Ages 7-12)
Explore silkscreening*, block printing*, and collage printing and use these fun processes for making cards, adorning clothes, and creating other giftable art pieces. *Silkscreen – a stencil method of printmaking in which a design is imposed on a screen of silk or other fine mesh, with blank areas coated with an impermeable substance, and ink is forced through the mesh onto the painting surface. *Block printing – printing from hand engraved or carved blocks of wood, rubber or linoleum.
