ARTSReacH: putting the arts within the community's reach

The ARTSReacH program was developed to create partnerships with the local, state, and national organizations that provide arts programming in metro-Atlanta communities with limited art education opportunities. Partnerships with the State of Georgia and Atlanta Weed & Seed have resulted in the development of art classes in empowerment zone recreation centers, the creation of several murals, after school art programs, and the Saturday Strings Program. Each program has been led by local professional artists and included original curriculums developed by the artist. ARTSReacH enables the arts to touch the lives of young Atlanta residents looking forward to learning more about themselves, their communities, and their connection to the world outside their neighborhoods.
