2009. The city of San Antonio is, in stages, extending its landmark "River Walk" by 8 miles. As it passes under the rather forbidding darkness of Interstate I-35, Lipski has created a school of 25 fish, each 7' long, of fiberglass. These fish, replicas of the native long-eared sunfish, are lit from within at night, with about 1000 l.e.d. lights in each fish. F.I.S.H. has become an instant landmark. Crowds gather every evening to watch the "lighting of the fish".
