Noguchi’s 1976 Playscapes Restoration
In September, The Mayor’s Office of Cultural Affairs announced the completion of a major art restoration at Piedmont Park’s Noguchi Playscapes. The restoration took over a month to complete and went toward preserving the site for future generations and to display the site in optimal condition. The Herman Miller Company funded $21,000.00, which allowed The Mayor’s Office of Cultural Affairs to manage the the project.
The Herman Miller Company sponsored 42 volunteers to help enhance the site, as well as a grand unveiling to raise awareness about the importance of this project.
