The sculpture functions as a working sundial and light fixture, and includes design elements that honor individuals of the Cascade Road community that have had significant impacts on Atlanta and beyond through scholarship and creativity.
Odeleye received a BA in Art Education and a MA in sculpture from Howard University. For the past 22 years he has taught art at Kennesaw State university. Odeleye also owns and designs for Odeleye Sculpture Studios in Stone Mountain, GA. In this studio, Odeleye creates large scale sculptures for public spaces in cities across the United States.
